Former Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek (that sounds weird) is visiting the Detroit Lions today, according to NFL insider Adam Caplan.
The Lions have a need at tight end after releasing Eric Ebron on Wednesday and losing Darren Fells in free agency.
The Eagles released the 33-year-old Celek earlier this week in a cost-cutting move that saved $4 million in cap space.
It would’ve been nice to see Celek retire and go out on top after winning the Super Bowl with the Eagles, but he deserves to keep playing if that’s what he wants to do.
