Whenever a team is held up by the league as one of its all-time greats, it’s an honor worthy of celebration. That was the case for the 2017 Philadelphia Eagles this past week, as they were named the 36th best team in league history by NFL Films. The story of the resilient underdogs that captivated the nation and brought the Lombardi Trophy home to Philadelphia for the very first time was given the well-deserved spotlight during NFL Films’ latest “100 Greatest” countdown.
The 2017 Eagles were described as a “team of destiny”, with NFL Network‘s Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football going as far as to say the team turned him from a skeptic to a believer that made him “believe in destiny”.
