There have multiple reports surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles in recent days, positioning them as interested in either acquiring a top-tier safety or a wide receiver such as Tampa Bay's Vincent Jackson prior to Tuesday's 4:00pm EST trade deadline.
Per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly isn't exactly buying into what the NFL trade machines have been churning out:
As for trade reports that the #Eagles are interested in Vincent Jackson, upgrading at safety, Kelly said, "I listen to them and chuckle."

Trade talks always seem to swirl around Philly this time of year. The team's front office is known for its aggressive work both in the trade market and in free agency, so it's natural for pundits to place the Eagles as prime contenders to wheel and deal in advance of the deadline.
However, the NFL is a much more controlled beast than say the NBA when it comes to trades. The Eagles could just as well stand pat and do some creative work with practice squad promotions rather than making a splash before Tuesday's cutoff.
