The 76ers just can't catch a break.
After losing center Joel Embiid for the first two years of his career due to complications from a foot injury, the former Kansas star is healthy and ready to play on Tuesday night in the team's first preseason game before the 2016-17 season commences.
Unfortunately, No. 1 overall pick Ben Simmons won't be joining him.
Simmons broke the fifth metatarsal in his right foot after rolling his ankle last week. While the team mulls recovery options—including surgery—recovery time can vary for this type of injury.
