The Smithsonian Channel will take on the mystery in Sunday's episode of Sports Detectives, airing at 9 p.m. "We couldn't solve the mystery through forensics, but we could at least advance the ball, no pun intended," said Lauren Gardner, the cohost of Sports Detectives.
