The Philadelphia 76ers spent the 2013, 2014, and 2015 off-seasons spending little money on free agents. That all changed last year, when the Philadelphia 76ers’ new general manager Bryan Colangelo gave Gerald Henderson a two-year $18 million contract.
The now 29 year-old shooting guard averaged 11.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.3 blocks, and 1.2 turnovers per game over his previous seven seasons in the NBA. In fact, Henderson started most games for the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets from the 2011-12 season to the 2014-15 season, but never played on a team that ended the season with a winning record.
