No one believed in T.J. McConnell this offseason. Well, maybe Sam Hinkie, but who knows what goes through that man’s head sometimes.
McConnell, an un-drafted rookie, found himself making the final Philadelphia 76ers roster due to one major problem the Sixers were having–injuries. Lucky for him, he found himself backing up Isaiah Canaan at the start of the season, and was playing decently off of the bench.
Canaan scored, but failed to facilitate the ball–something Canaan was doing well–so he was promptly moved to the bench, and McConnell got a chance at starting.
