CLEVELAND – As one of the longest-tenured 76ers, Hollis Thompson said Saturday that he’s learning how to adapt to numerous changes and roster turnovers.
“I’m super excited to still be here and super excited to still be playing basketball,” Thompson said; he and Nerlens Noel are the only holdovers from the 2013-14 squad.
For him, the biggest difference from his rookie season is the vibe surrounding the team. In 2013-14, everyone knew the Sixers were starting a rebuilding process that turned out to be three seasons of tanking. Now, the Sixers are focused on winning.
However, Thompson’s personal situation hasn’t changed.
