CLEVELAND -- In what constitutes a significant step in injured Cleveland Cavaliers guard Isaiah Thomas' rehabilitation process, the two-time All-Star was able to participate in half court 4-on-4 live play for consecutive days this week, Cavs coach Tyronn Lue said Wednesday.
Joining in the halfcourt play on Wednesday after Cavs shootaround prior to their game against the Sacramento Kings was center Tristan Thompson, who has been out since Nov. 1 with a left calf injury.
Lue was encouraged by Thomas' play, saying "there was contact; he looked good." On Thompson, Lue added he would "hopefully" play this week.
