PHILADELPHIA — A day after the Philadelphia 76ers scored their fifth win of the season, "The Simpsons" ribbed the last-place team in front of a national television audience.
The Sixers narrowly missed becoming the team with the worst start in NBA history after beating the Los Angeles Lakers in December. The 18 straight losses to begin the season leaves them tied for that record with the New Jersey Nets.
The team has won five games and lost 37 this season.
"The Simpsons" took aim at the Sixers Sunday night in a quick bit in which a bald customer would rather shell out cash for an overpriced tube of sunscreen than accept an offer to wear a Sixers hat for free.
