The Summer Sixers were edged out by two points last night against Portland, dropping to 1-1 in Vegas. Tonight, they’ll play their final back-to-back of Summer League action when they take on Minnesota. Philadelphia needs a win to stay alive for the Summer League playoffs, as only the top four teams will advance.
I highlighted Keve Aluma last time so it’s only fair I mention Judah Mintz as another guy who has raised his stock and entered the ‘final two-way contract spot’ mix. Mintz, a 21-year-old guard from Syracuse, scored 16 points in 19 minutes last night. I’d say a 6-foot-4 guard is much less of a need for the Sixers than a rangy wing or a potential stretch big like Aluma, but some more performances like against the Blazers from Mintz and you never know.
