The 76ers are likely to sign Justin Harper to a 10-day contract on Friday, a league source confirmed. The Vertical first reported the news.
The 6-foot-10, 225-pound power forward averaged 16.2 points, 7.0 rebounds and shot 40.1 percent on three-pointers this season for the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development League. Harper could get some quality playing time since Dario Saric became the team’s lone true power forward after Ersan IIlyasova was traded the Atlanta Hawks.
Harper was the 32nd overall pick of the 2011 draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers out of Richmond. He was traded on draft night to the Orlando Magic.
