MILWAUKEE – According to a source, the 76ers will use their league-granted roster exemption spot to sign point guard Phil Pressey.
Pressey has played 125 games in the league over the past two seasons, both with the Boston Celtics. The 5-11, 175 pound Missouri product has averaged 3.1 points and 2.9 assists in close to 14 minutes a game.
The Sixers get the extra roster spot due to the season-ending injury to Joel Embiid. They were originally looking to bring back center/forward Furkan Aldemir, whom they cut before the season. But Aldemir has decided to go back to Turkey and play.
