It took an overtime period to do it, but the Philadelphia 76ers knocked off the Brooklyn Nets Thursday evening, 112-104. The Nets drop to 25-29 and sit 7th in the Eastern Conference. The Sixers on the other hand improve to 35-21, putting them a half game behind the 4th place Miami Heat (who lost to the Atlanta Hawks tonight). The Sixers are now on a four-game winning streak.
The Sixers entered the contest down a man with Ben Simmons out due to lower back tightness. At first, playing shorthanded against the Nets didn’t seem to phase the Sixers, as Philly jumped out to a 20-4 lead to start the game behind an unstoppable Joel Embiid.
