The Minnesota Timberwolves made the Western Conference Finals last spring then decided to shake things up. Having recently traded Karl-Anthony Towns to the New York Knicks for Julius Randle, and Nova alum Donte DiVincenzo, Wolves’ head coach Chris Finch will look to stymie Paul George in his own Sixers’ preseason debut; of course that might open things up for Tyrese Maxey. The 2023-2024 All-Star guard on a newly minted max-extension had 15 points on 4-5 from 3PT in just 12 minutes vs. the New Zealand Breakers earlier this week.
