MEMPHIS – The 76ers’ game plan was to play Jerami Grant at small forward this season. Needing depth at power forward, the team put that on hold once Ben Simmons suffered a Jones fracture during the final day of training camp.
But on Tuesday night, Grant will play some small forward during Tuesday night’s exhibition game against Memphis at FedExForum.
“I want to see him understand his role defensively,” coach Brett Brown said. “I want him to lock in defensively and master the corner three offensively.”
This won’t be the first time Grant has played small forward.
