With the entire world mourning the tragic death of George Floyd, Sixers’ Tobias Harris took it upon himself to lead by example as Philadelphia took part in the nationwide protests.
Harris joined the people of Philadelphia during a peaceful march on May 30th, even bringing along teammate Mike Scott via FaceTime. Harris was active during the march on social media, bringing attention to the fact that he was there and supportive of the cause.
Harris joins a long list of professional athletes who have begun speaking out against racism and police brutality. NBA players Karl Anthony-Towns, Jaylen Brown, Enes Kanter, and Josh Okogie have all marched in their own respective areas.
