After being granted a hardship exception by the league, the Philadelphia 76ers have opted to address the guard position by signing Phil Pressey, according to Bob Cooney.
Pressey was signed as an un-drafted free agent out of Missouri by the Boston Celtics, and made 125 appearances with the team over two seasons. He averaged 3.1 points and 2.9 assists in 13.8 minutes of action.
The 24-year-old was waived by Boston in July, but was signed by the Portland Trailblazers at the end of the month. He made four preseason appearances, shooting 27.
