Despite struggling in his second Summer League appearance, Jonah Bolden has agreed to a four-year, $7 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, per Yahoo’s Shams Charania. The deal includes team options for the third and fourth seasons.
On top of that, the Sixers have traded Richaun Holmes to the Phoenix Suns to create the roster space.
At 6-foot-10, Bolden is the ideal modern big on paper. He needs to add strength, but his lateral quickness and shot-blocking instincts should make him impactful on that side of the ball. The Sixers have a lot of versatile bodies who can switch around the floor, and Bolden fits that mold in the frontcourt.
