Our Philadelphia 76ers love to tap the G-League well, don’t they? Well, why not? They found Robert Covington there, and he was a solid starter for a 52-win team last year.
Today, the Sixers announced the signing of Anthony Brown — who played for the Iowa Wolves (Minnesota’s G-League affiliate).
Brown is in the Covington mold: a 6’7” shooting wing with a nearly 7’0” wingspan.
Last year for Iowa, Brown had averages of 18.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. The former Stanford wing also shot 40.2% from three on 246 total attempts in 45 games.
