With the Philadelphia 76ers set to add Ersan Ilyasova in the near future, they’ll need to open up a roster spot. There has been some debate over who the most likely casualty is, but only one name makes sense here: Trevor Booker.
Making such a drastic change to the bench is risky, but Ilyasova brings some clear benefits. He has experience under Brett Brown already, while his shooting is a valuable weapon at the four spot behind Dario Saric. He should be a significant boost to the Sixers’ second unit.
That also means he’ll be taking virtually all of Booker’s available minutes.
