LOS ANGELES – 76ers small forward Robert Covington will miss Sunday night’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center with right knee soreness.
Covington injured his knee when he slipped and fell on a wet spot late in Saturday’s game here against the Los Angeles Clippers. He is listed as day-to-day.
The Sixers will start Gerald Henderson and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot at the wing spots on Sunday night. Luwawu-Cabarrot started in place of Henderson at shooting guard Saturday while Covington played small forward.
