Sixers pursuing Norris Cole?

Sheridan Hoops is reporting the 76ers have expressed interest in New Orleans Pelicans restricted free agent Norris Cole.

The Pelicans can match any offer the point guard receives from another franchise. He became a restricted free agent after New Orleans extended him a $3 million qualifying offer. The New Orleans Times-Picayune is reporting that the Pelicans could look to extend him to an offer between the $3-million to $3.8-million range.

The Pelicans acquired Cole from the Miami Heat in a three-team trade that included the Phoenix Suns in February. The 26-year-old averaged 9.9 points and 3.2 assists.
