The Sixers on Wednesday provided injury updates on two players that have missed a bunch of time recently in De’Anthony Melton and Robert Covington.
Melton has been dealing with a lumbar spine issue. He completed an offloading period and will now begin ramping up to return to play. He will travel with the team for its upcoming road trip, but he will be listed as out and re-evaluated in one week.
The Sixers’ starting two guard initially missed the team’s win over the Chicago Bulls on Jan. 2 and the following two games against the New York Knicks and Utah Jazz.
