A youth soccer game in Newark was scrubbed Sunday night when a helicopter dropped down from the sky just as the players were taking the field for their 7:30 p.m. start and landed smack dab in the middle of the pitch.
A security detail emerged from the chopper and told the boys and their coaches that Josh Harris, owner of the Sixers and the Jersey Devils, had instructed them to land and wait for him to return from the Prudential Center, where the Devils were playing the Canucks, according to an email written by a parent and published by Deadspin.
