It’s hard to overstate J.J. Redick’s importance to the Philadelphia 76ers. His constant off-ball movement and shooting prowess keeps the offense flowing, while his spacing provides obvious benefits for Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid.
He’s somebody whose skill set is virtually irreplaceable, so his return from injury was important for that reason alone.
Redick has struggled since that return, though, averaging just 13 points while shooting 28.6 percent from deep in three games. Being out of rhythm after an extended abscence is normal, but the Sixers — who are in the midst of a tight playoff race — need him to regain form quickly.
