Stephen Curry tossing an alley-oop to Joel Embiid may have been simply a fever dream for Sixers fans before, but is all the more possible now.
Embiid was selected by Team Curry in the NBA’s first-ever all-star draft, where the two top vote-receivers in either conference (LeBron James and Stephen Curry) selected their teams pickup-basketball style.
The draft wasn’t televised, so we don’t know when Embiid was picked, but we do know he’ll be facing Pelicans’ twin-towers Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. .
Embiid was named an all-star starter last week, receiving the third-most votes behind James and Bucks’ star Giannis Antetokounmpo among Eastern Conference frontcourt players.
