Through the constant social media campaigning, celebrity (and Eagles) support and the Sixers organization’s all-out push to get Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons elected as All-Star starters, it’s important to remember that the fan vote is no longer the only one that matters.
Embiid knows that all too well.
The starters will be announced Thursday at 6 p.m. on TNT for February’s game in Los Angeles, and it’s entirely possible Embiid is left out again. Simmons has an outside chance to start, though that seems unlikely. Fan voting has already closed.
