Philadelphia 76ers’ star center Joel Embiid is busy in France at the 2024 Paris Olympics right now, but before he left he sat down with his trainer Drew Hanlen to talk shop on Hanlen’s podcast, “The Check Ball”.
Embiid has been making the rounds on pods as of late including featuring in a recent edition of The New York Times’ ‘The Interview’ just last week. That appearance (breakdown available here) focused a decent amount on Embiid joining Team USA and his past 10 years with the Sixers franchise.
Sitting down with Hanlen, Embiid spoke more about how injuries affected him in the 2024 playoffs and throughout his career and how he derives motivation from online haters.
