With Joel Embiid set as the Philadelphia 76ers franchise center, there’s no need for the club to make a selection at the center position in the first round upcoming draft. Embiid’s skill and raw potential has breathed life back into the city of Philadelphia. One center in the draft that could do the same for a franchise is Mohamed Bamba.
While the Sixers could trade up to get the big man, there would be no point. The club already has two young centers in Embiid and Richaun Holmes, that’s not including draft-and-stash center Anzejs Pasecniks who’s draft rights the Sixers traded for in last year’s draft.
