Sixers Donate $20K Worth of Food to Local Soup Kitchen

For the last 4 years, the Sixers have been hosting the Hardwood VIP Dinner - an event to express gratitude to top-tier season ticket holders. However, due to the impending arrival of Winter Storm Toby, the Sixers had to cancel the dinner.

Bummer, right? Well the Sixers’ organization was able to make good out of a bad situation. The nearly $20,000 worth of catered food the team had been prepared to serve their guest, was donated to Camden’s Cathedral Kitchen.

From the Cathedral Kitchen’s Facebook, their mission statement:

Cathedral Kitchen uses food to change lives.
