The Sixers surged at the end of the regular season last year finishing with 16 consecutive wins and a playoff berth with a No. 3 seed. Upon defeating the Miami Heat in five games 4-1, the second round headed to Boston, where Philadelphia would go on to lose in five games, 1-4.
The game that they won, has a familiar underlying theme in that Head coach Brett Brown utilized TJ McConnell off the bench to jumpstart the Sixers rotation, and steal a victory over the heavily favorite Celtics.
Fast forward to the opening week of this season and Brown continues to count on McConnell in big moments.
