76ers rookie Ben Simmons participated in a controlled, light noncontact training session Tuesday at the team’s practice facility in Camden. His workout involved some full-court scripting.
The first overall pick is sidelined this season after suffering a Jones fracture in his right foot on Sept. 30, the final day of training camp. He had a bone marrow injection on Feb. 27 because the foot was not healing fully. He was expected to resume his normal rehabilitation by Friday. But as of Monday, Simmons had participated only in post-shootaround shooting drills and doing classroom work with Brett Brown, according to the coach.
