The Sixers welcomed back one star in Joel Embiid, only to see another one depart, as Ben Simmons left the game after 10 minutes with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. A lackluster third quarter saw the Jazz pull ahead by double digits, with Utah eventually holding on for the 106-104 victory.
