Despite an early 3-pointer from one Benjamin David Simmons, the Sixers found themselves trailing the Knicks by 17 with four minutes and change left in the third quarter. However, Philadelphia closed the period on a 14-2 run, and outscored New York by 10 in the final frame to avoid an embarrassing loss at home.
