SALT LAKE CITY - No one inside the 76ers organization is surprised that Furkan Aldemir leads the Utah Summer League in rebounding. Rebounding is the main reason the Sixers worked hard to acquire his rights from the Houston Rockets two summers ago.
But his 50-percent shooting from three-point range - 3 for 6 through two games - has certainly been a surprise.
Surely, the Sixers won't rely on Aldemir's long-range shooting this upcoming season, right?
"Well, why not if he's 3-for-6?" said assistant coach Billy Lange, who coaches the summer-league team. "That's 50 percent. That would make him one of the best.
