MILWAUKEE - Brett Brown said Wednesday morning at shootaround that if the 76ers get their league-granted roster hardship exemption, he would prefer they use it to pick up a point guard.
A few hours later, his wish was granted, as the team added Phil Pressey to the mix. Because the Sixers have four players with long-term injuries (Joel Embiid, Tony Wroten, Kendall Marshall and Carl Landry), they were given the extra spot. When someone returns from injury, someone will have to be released.
Pressey was expected to join the team in Milwaukee Wednesday night, but most likely will get his first action Friday when the team plays in Cleveland.
