The Sixers have acquired a second-round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and cash from the Houston Rockets in exchange for forward Shawn Long, the team announced Wednesday.
Long, originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Sixers last season, rejoined the team on a 10-day contract and later signed a multi-year deal.
During his time with the Sixers, Long averaged 8.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and blocked .5 shots per game while averaging 13.0 minutes in the 18 contests he appeared in.
As the Sixers and the rest of the NBA look ahead to free agency, a return engagement of the Andre Iguodala experience could be in the works.
