2015 NBA Draft Revisited
The Philadelphia 76ers entered the NBA draft with a huge need and a series of small needs. That huge need was a play-maker at the point guard position. The small needs were less critical, but were present as well. They needed a stretch four man – a power forward type with an accurate range shot to keep opposing team defenses honest. They needed a sixth man – perhaps a hot handed senior or a trade for a veteran who could come into the game and spark that sluggish Sixer offense.
Going into the draft, the 76ers had any number of protected pick scenarios where they might have obtained the rights to another team’s first round pick.
