It was a rollercoaster year for Robert Covington. He started the season with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he had been since midway through the 2021-22 campaign, when he was sent to the Philadelphia 76ers in what was commonly referred to at the time as “the James Harden trade” in October 2023.
It was a homecoming of sorts for Covington, who played for the Sixers back during the early years of The Process era. The franchise picked up Covington for his sophomore season in the association back in 2014 and signed him to a multiyear contract.
