Sometime in the 5th Century BC, Chinese military general Sun Tzu wrote “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” And no hundred battles are more fierce and shameless than the ones undertaken by the NBA’s worst teams when an all-time prospect is in the next draft class.
Philadelphia has not decided if they’ll join this season’s debauchery. The postseason, as treacherous a journey it would take to get there with this 4-14 start, would quell all tension. A trip there, after this pitiful start, secures jobs.
