Furkan Korkmaz, the No. 26 selection in the 2016 NBA draft, would like to join the Philadelphia 76ers next season, but that may not be possible.
Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer writes: "Korkmaz has a complicated buyout that could prohibit him from achieving his goal, according to sources. Plus, the Sixers are in no rush to bring him here."
Last month, Bryan Colangelo, the Sixers' president of basketball operations, watched Korkmaz in the Basketball Champions League playoffs. Korkmaz is under contract with Turkish club Anadolu Efes but spent part of the 2016-17 season on loan to Spanish-side Banvit.
