While most of Philadelphia was focused on watching Nick Foles spin his magic in the Double Doink game, the Sixers were the subject of a Shams cherry bomb:
Sources @TheAthleticNBA @WatchStadium: The Philadelphia 76ers are releasing guard Demetrius Jackson, who is on a two-way NBA deal and is accepting a deal in China.
— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) January 6, 2019
The move makes sense for all parties. Jackson can make more money overseas, while the Sixers can use a two-way spot on a player with higher upside. Jackson will finish this stint with the Sixers having appearing in just nine games across the last two seasons.
