It’s certainly a great time to be a Philadelphia sports fan.
It’s been more than a week since the Eagles won the Super Bowl and paraded the city’s first Lombardi Trophy up Broad Street. Yes, the championship ended a 57-year-old drought in Philadelphia, but it also appears to have had an unlikely impact on the city’s other sports teams.
Prior to the Super Bowl, both the Flyers and the Sixers were mired in losing streaks. The Flyers had lost four straight games, while the Sixers were 1-4 in the week before the game, including a 100-92 loss to the Indiana Pacers the night before the Super Bowl.
