Philadelphia 76ers rookie Ben Simmons defies tradtional ways of thinking in the NBA. Normally, a young man standing 6-foot-10 would be as close to the basket as you could manage. There, his height would counter the height of other big men near that basket.
But Ben Simmons runs freely. He needs space to operate. His skillset is more like defined by that of a point guard – can work the ball up and down the court and can pass to the open shooter. Ahhh, but that height throws people off who try to define his presence on the court.
