According to Keith Pompey of philly.com, the Philadelphia 76ers have signed center Emeka Okafor for the team’s training camp. Yet this isn’t the first time the club has signed the veteran big man in the preseason. Last offseason, the club signed Okafor for training camp when he was trying to make a return to basketball after taking four seasons off trying to recover from a neck injury.
Okafor didn’t make the final roster cut last year, but the big man did get a job at the Sixers G-League Affiliate, the then named Delaware 87ers.
