With the recent departure of former player development coach Lindsey Harding, the Philadelphia 76ers have yet another hole on the coaching staff. Now the Sixers need to fill that void left by Harding and while there’s plenty of worthy candidates available, Philly should consider hiring a former player to Harding’s former position.
The San Antonio Spurs recently hired former player Tim Duncan and the 76ers could follow in similar fashion. Amir Johnson isn’t the same icon figure to Sixers history as Duncan is to the Spurs, but Johnson would be a nice fit onto head coach Brett Brown’s coaching staff.
