Before the NBA Draft Lottery, reports came out that if the Los Angeles Lakers were to receive a pick in the top three, they would be heavily considering trading it to another team. That pick became much more attractive when lottery night came around and it landed at second overall.
This report caused a lot of Sixers fans to salivate at the idea of trading for the second overall pick and obtaining the first overall pick, thus giving the Sixers the top overall pick and the second overall pick. The Sixers could solve some problems this way, as they wouldn’t have to choose between Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram.
