With free agency about to begin, rumors are swirling. Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson and Kyrie Irving are locked into place, while other big names — Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard and, of course, Jimmy Butler — are surveying the market.
According to numerous reports, the Philadelphia 76ers have major competition for Butler. The Miami Heat and Houston Rockets have separated themselves as the primary threats, though neither have enough cap space to sign the All-Star wing outright.
That means the Sixers could get dragged into a sign-and-trade — something Elton Brand would need to seriously consider.
