The NBA has a large percentage of African Americans that are players in the NBA. While many employers have failed black people in America, the NBA continues to be one that offers lots of job opportunity. Not just on the court, but in coaching, arena work, and other necessary jobs that make the NBA games happen.
The same can be said for the Philadelphia 76ers. Most of the players are African American. The athletic trainer is African American. Even their in-game host at the Center is African American.
On Martin Luther King Jr. Day this Monday, the Sixers traveled about an hour north to face off against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
